A     Set your goals high and you'll be amazed how easy it is to reach them!  As a baseline, each team member is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in donations.

Q     Can we Team fund raise all year long?

A     Yes!  We encourage teams to be creative and keep the Relay spirit going all year long with team fundraising. 

Q     How many people can be on our team?

A     Teams usually consist of 8 - 15 members.  Teams with more are encouraged to divide up and form two teams.

Q     How do I get my hands on a Relay video to share with my team members?

A     Please just ask your Relay Chair or someone on the committee.  They will have some great videos that show the true spirit of Relay.  If a local American Cancer Society office is in your community, just stop by - Relay videos are always on hand.

Q     What if I have to miss one of the Team Captain's meetings?

A     Team Captain's meetings are not only fun, they are also loaded with information.  Please make sure to send another team member if you can't make it.

Q     What if it rains?

A     The Relay will go on as scheduled...rain or shine...so bring gear for foul weather.

Q     Is it true we will be decorating our sites?

A     Yes!  Not only do teams get in the spirit by choosing a theme and decorating their campsites, but many dress up in costumes and make signs to go along with their theme.

Q     What should we bring to the Relay?

A     Here's a start of a list; tents and decorations, lawn chairs, sleeping bag & pillow, camera, sunscreen & bug spray, warm sweatshirt or jacket, flashlight, cooler with snacks and a rested body.

Q     What if someone wants to be on our team, but can't attend the Relay?

A     You can still sign them up to be on your team and raise money for your team.  However, please make sure you still have enough members to be walking during the entire event.

Q     I am interested in joining the Relay Planning Committee, who do I contact?

A     Please visit with your Relay Chair or someone on the committee to let them know you ware interested.  You can also call your local American Cancer Society office.  To reach the office closest to you, contact them at 1-800-ACS-2345.
